Daddy Daughter Tax Fraud Duo

Ezra Hatcher Sr and daughter Sherry Hatcher have been convicted of filing false tax returns. Hatcher Sr has been sentenced to 24 months in prison and 3 years of supervised release for filing 21 false tax returns from 2014 to 2018, issuing over $75k in refunds. Sherry Hatcher was sentenced to 5 years probation. Both Hatchers have been ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $69,682 and $4,141 respectively.

The Hatchers created and submitted tax returns with false Schedule C income and expenses along with Earned Income Credits. Ezra Hatcher was previously convicted in 1998 for filing false tax returns and served federal time.
